Sudbury’s Tanner Horgan rink will be participating in their first men’s provincial thanks to a rule change made by Curling Canada this season which allows curlers of all ages to challenge for Brier and Scotties playdowns.

The team made up of skip Tanner Horgan, vice Jacob Horgan, second Nicholas Bissonnette, lead Maxime Blais and coach Gerry Horgan captured their third straight Northern Ontario Curling Association’s Junior Boys championship on January 5th in Kakabeka Falls and stuck around the Thunder Bay area for the Men’s West Qualifier that began on January 7th.

Three of seven participating men’s teams qualified from this event to the Traveler’s Men’s Provincial in North Bay February 10th – 14th, 2016 and the seventeen year old skip won three games in a row on the final day of competition to come through tiebreakers and lock up the third spot.
