There will be no tiebreakers required as Dylan Johnston continued his trend of killing giants and playing spoiler despite being able to secure a playoff spot for himself in a second consecutive Travelers Northern Ontario Men’s Provincial.
Should the young Tanner Horgan rink out of the Copper Cliff Curling Club have been able to force an extra end with hammer as they were positioned to do against Johnston in Draw 7 there could have very well been more curling to play prior to this evening’s Semi Final game at 7:30pm.
As it turns out, Team Chandler and Team Koivula will face off for the second time today with the winner advancing to the championship final against Team Brad Jacobs.
Chandler defeated Koivula 7-0 after five ends this morning.
Tickets can still be purchased for tonight’s Semi-Final at the door, which opens at 6:45pm.
Tickets for the championship final on Sunday are now only being sold once the game has begun. With the number of tickets having already been sold equaling the number of seats available, anyone coming through the door at this time will not be assured a seat or a view. The game will however be televised on our big screen projector and the atmosphere itself will be worth the ticket price.
