Team Brunton has locked up a spot in the Northern Ontario Curling Association’s U21 Women’s Provincial Curling Championship being hosted by the North Bay Granite Club this week (December 27th – 30th).
North Bay curler, Kate Sherry, plays vice for the defending champions, Team Brunton, and represents the Sudbury Curling Club. Sherry along with teammates Kira Brunton, Mikaela Cheslock, Emma Johnson, and coach Chris Johnson are undefeated after three games and face their final round robin match today at 2:30pm.
The winning team at this event will advance to the Canadian Juniors in Victoria, British Colombia from January 21st – 29th, 2017.
The public is invited to watch the final, which begins at 11:00am on Friday December 30th at the North Bay Granite Club. Donations to the club’s capital fund are being accepted in place of a formal admission.
