The final is set for the 2016 Travelers Northern Ontario Men’s Provincial Curling Championship, which goes Sunday February 14th at 2:00pm.
The reigning Olympic gold medalists and 2013 Brier champions, Team Brad Jacobs, will be favoured to make an eighth Brier appearence while fans who have been taking in live action at the North Bay Granite Club would most likely agree that it will be no cake walk.
Jacobs’ alternate player from 2013 throws last brick for the Sudbury Curling Club’s Team Chandler while their lead would be looking to make a fourth trip to the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship. Second Sandy McEwan and the skipper himself have never been, although Jordan skipped his Northern Ontario squad to a 3-8 record at the 2010 Canadian Mixed.
This team has been the most proficient looking team next to Jacobs all event and went undefeated through the Men’s East Qualifier to earn their berth at this week’s championship.
Tickets for the final will now only be sold at the door beginning at 2:00pm. Fans without tickets should not be concerned about not getting in, however there is no guarantee that they will have a seat or a decent view.
Full Event tickets holder are permitted access to the club at 11:00am Sunday morning and the restaurant will open at 11:30am. Single game ticket holders will be allowed in at 1:15pm.
