Help Bring World Women’s Curling to North Bay in 2018

An official media conference held on April 18th has announced that the sale of pre-event passes to help secure a bid to host the 2018 Ford World Women’s Curling Championships at Memorial Gardens has now begun.

The North Bay Granite Curling Club in partnership with the City of North Bay are excited to have the opportunity to bid for such a prestigious event under the leadership of co-chairs Dave Bennett and Rick Miller.

The host committee’s goal is to sell 1500 full event passes (valued at $400) of which a $100 deposit is required by the middle of June. Mayor Al McDonald says hosting this event would bring 6 Million Dollars to the community in economic impact.

Your down payment can be placed in the following ways:

  1. Visit the box office at Memorial Gardens

  2. Open Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (closed for lunch from 12:30pm – 1:30pm)

  3. Visit City Hall Customer Service Centre

  4. Righ through the main doors, you’ll see our banner

  5. Call the City of North Bay at 705-474-0400 or 1-800-465-1882

  6. Mail a cheque to “City of North Bay Customer Service Centre” ATTN: WWCC

  7. 200 McIntyre Street East, North Bay ON, P1B 8H8

  8. Call or drop by the North Bay Granite Tennis Club with cash, a cheque or a credit card number

  9. Open Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 8:30pm OR Friday – Sunday, 8:30am – 12:00pm

In the event that the bid is unsuccessful, deposits will be refunded.
