Doubles League Begins Dec. 3rd

Join the North Bay Granite Club’s NEW Doubles League beginning Thursday December 3rd and running until January 28th, 2016. There is a recreational and a competitive division to accommodate varying skill levels with draws going at 7:00pm and 8:30pm every Thursday night.

Unlimited Curling members are not required to pay any additional fees. One League and non-members pay according to our membership rates.

Instead of playing in teams of four, doubles curling is for teams of two players. The game is played on the same sheets of ice as “traditional” curling but teams have only six stones each (instead of eight) and one of those stones, from each team, is prepositioned on the centreline before each end of play starts.

Player one delivers the first and last stones and player two plays the second, third and fourth stones. If they choose to, the two players may swap positions from one end to the next. Sweeping can be done by both team members.
