It is with a great sense of pride combined with the realization of the impact that this announcement will have on the North Bay Granite Club that I take this opportunity to inform you of a move our Manager, Bobby Ray, will be making in his ever evolving career.
Bobby has accepted the position of Executive Director of the Northern Ontario Curling Association effective June 15, 2020.
I know you, as tennis and curling members, will join the Board of Directors of the North Bay Curling and Athletic Corporation in wishing Bobby all the success that we know he will achieve in his new prestigious position. Curling in Northern Ontario will be in the hands of a forward thinking and progressively focused administrator who will leave no (curling) stone unturned in order to grow the sport of curling from the grass roots to the highest level of participation.
We look forward to what the future brings for Bobby and curling in Northern Ontario. I know that we, as a member of the Northern Ontario Curling Association, will continue to benefit from Bobby’s tireless commitment and dedication to the sport of curling.
Tempered in this announcement is the fact that we will have a substantial undertaking in attempting to replace such a exemplary manager to look after our tennis and curling needs. However, we as a Board are committed to making just that happen. We will keep you apprised over the summer months of our progress.
Once again, congratulations Bobby on your well deserved appointment.
