15th ANNUAL ASSANTE 101 CLASSIC SENIOR OPEN BONSPIEL A GREAT SUCCESS!

After a 2 year “covid break” the Senior section of the Granite Curling Club hosted nearly 100 curlers for the 3-day event.

The North Bay mixed team of Jamie Graham, Pat Dayes, Mike Callahan and Pat Graham captured the A event trophy and first place cash prize. The B event trophy and prize was captured by the David Lawes rink of Parry Sound while the C event trophy and prize went to the Tom Cull rink of Sudbury. The D event winner was the Patti Callahan rink from the Granite Club.

Feedback to the bonspiel committee was very positive with many rinks planning to return next year. Players enjoyed our great ice, great facility and the friendly environment of the Granite Club.

The bonspiel committee thanked the many volunteers as well as our naming sponsor Assante 101 and our supporting sponsors without whom we would not be able to host such a first-class event.
