The B.C. mixed curling champs received a royal send-off Saturday at Kerry Park.
The team of Wes Craig, Sarah Wark, Miles Craig, Michelle Allen and coach Roselyn Craig is representing the valley and B.C. at the Canadian Mixed Championships that start Monday in North Bay, Ont.
“We are very proud of them and wish them the very best at the championships,’’ noted Kerry Park Curling Club president Lorraine Gagnon.
Skip Wes Craig said the team is ready to go. “We should hopefully do OK,’’ he said.
“I don’t know a lot of the teams. When you get to the Canadians, they’re all good.’’
“We are going to work really hard to bring home the big prize for the valley,’’ raved Wark.
